This is the third and final installment of Melvyn Bragg`s appealing autobiographical trilogy about the Richardson family of Cumberland, in northern England. Now it`s 1955, and young Joe is an intelligent, bookish adolescent, obsessed with music--not only Elvis but Beethoven--and just discovering sex.
